After all our careful planning, the day had come to set off on our very first adventure as a family of five. My girls had travelled quite a bit but I was unsure of how my 6 month old baby boy would do on our 14 hour flight to America. It was 4 am and we had our bags in the car ready. Now all we had to do was get the kids up and dressed.

It was time to plan our next trip. With a third child now we decided it was time to go back to the USA to visit family and introduce our complete family. Since America had already been added to our done list we decided to add some interesting new places to our travel resume.

We consulted with the kids. The girls wanted to go to Hawaii. We asked Zac, our infant son, what he thought. Being a complete prodigy he looked at us and then burped up his milk onto my lovely feeding pillow leaving a wet mark the shape of Africa on it. True story. Mostly.

Having kids changes everything! And I mean, everything! It changes the way you spend your weekends, it changes the way you do date nights and it changes the way you spend your holidays. It even changes the way you pee! (Here's to dreaming of a solitary bathroom once in a while).
